Attention film lovers: We have an exciting film screening event planned on Sunday, March 2. The artist duo Rotteveel Vermeer has carefully selected the film Laurence Anyways, which resonates with themes explored in their current exhibition BOLD.

The unique cinematopgraphic style of Dolan heightens the emotional intensity of the film. A combination of the color palette, camera angles and scene compositions reflect the inner world of the main character and the way he is going through his transition.

Laurence and his girlfriend Fred are soulmates and deeply infatuated. When they celebrate Laurence’s thirtieth birthday, he makes a confession that turns their lives completely upside down: he wants to become a woman. Together, Laurence and Fred embark on a turbulent journey that will bring them closer to themselves and each other.
